That the time of the cleansing of the sanctuary (See proposition X.),

(Daniel 8:14)

synchronizing with the time of the proclamation of the third message (Rev. 14:9, 10),

(Revelation 14:9-12)

is a time of investigative judgment,

(Ecclesiastes 3:17, 12:13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Peter 1:17; Revelation 20:12-13)

first, with reference to the dead, and secondly, at the close of probation, with reference to the living,

(Acts 10:42; 2 Timothy 4:1; 1 Peter 4:4-6)

to determine who of the myriads now sleeping in the dust of the earth are worthy of a part in the first resurrection,

(Job 19:25-26; Daniel 12:2; John 5:25-20)

and who of its living multitudes are worthy of translation—points which must be determined before the Lord appears.

(1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; Revelation 22:11-12)
