God – with Daniel Mesa

Download Notes

My name is Daniel Mesa. I have been ordained to the gospel ministry. And…

Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

God created all things through Jesus Christ?

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Yes! God created all things through His Son, who was the “express image of his person” as mentioned in the next verse.

The Bible says that God is a Spirit:

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

According to the Bible, the Son is begotten from the Father, in the “express image of His person” (Hebrews 1:3):

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

What or who was brought forth in Proverbs 8:1-30?

Proverbs 8:1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

Proverbs 8:2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

Proverbs 8:3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

Proverbs 8:4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

Proverbs 8:5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Proverbs 8:6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

Proverbs 8:7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

Proverbs 8:8 All the words of my mouthare in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

Proverbs 8:9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

Proverbs 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

Proverbs 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Proverbs 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Proverbs 8:14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

Proverbs 8:15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

Proverbs 8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Proverbs 8:18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

Proverbs 8:19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

Proverbs 8:20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

Proverbs 8:21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

Who is made unto us Wisdom?

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

So Proverbs 8 is speaking of Christ! Notice:

Proverbs 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

Proverbs 8:23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Proverbs 8:24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

Proverbs 8:25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

Proverbs 8:26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

Proverbs 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

Proverbs 8:28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

Proverbs 8:29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Proverbs 8:30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

Christ was given a body:

Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Christ was given a body during what we call the incarnation:

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given…

The Son of God was given. He had a Son to give! Not a created Son, but one brought forth, or begotten!

  • Jesus said there is one true God, with Himself as His Son (John 17:3 This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.).
  • Paul said there is one God and Father of all (1 Corinthians 8:6 To us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him., AND Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.).
  • Paul taught this to Timothy (1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;).
  • James said the fallen angels believe there is one God (James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.).
  • The demons know that Jesus is the Son of God most high (Mark 3:11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. 12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known., AND Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.).
  • The scribes knew there was one God, which brought commendation from Christ (Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.).
  • Malachi said there was one God who created us (through His Son) (Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?).
  • Moses agreed, laying this foundation many years before (Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.).

I used to believe Micah 5:2 explained that Jesus, the Son, has always existed, “Micah 5:2 Thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

Goings forth” in Micah 5:2 is used only one other time in the Bible. It’s translated “draught house” in 2 Kings 10:27; a small house set apart from the bigger one. This illustrates the same as does the stone cut out of the mountain without hands (Daniel 2:45)… Jesus, the chief corner Stone, said Himself, “My Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). (The word “greater” is one time translated “elder” in Romans 9:12.)

Also, the Spirit that was given—the Holy Spirit—is not anyone other than Christ!

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Galatians 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Colossians 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

There are only five times the Greek word for Comforter is used in the Bible. Notice, the last time used, a name is given to clarify who it is:

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you anotherComforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

In the Revelation, Christ is the one who is standing in the midst of the candlesticks (1:13), which are called the churches in verse 20.

Also, Christ is the one knocking at the door of our hearts:

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Consider looking up the following:

  • 57 times “Almighty” occurs in the KJV.
  • 13 times the phrase “God the Father”
  • 11 times “Most High God”
  • 48 times “son of God”
  • 6 times “only begotten”
  • 7 times “Father of our Lord”
  • Count how many times Jesus said “my Father”
  • 26 times “Spirit of God”
  • 31 times “Spirit of the Lord”
  • 2 times “Spirit of Christ
  • Then look up the phrases:
  • “God the Holy Spirit”
  • “God the Spirit”
  • “God the Son”
  • “God in three persons”
  • “Trinity”
  • “Triune”
  • “Co-equal”
  • “Co-eternal”

So, in light of all this evidence, and much, much more, please consider that the truth about God the Father having a Son is not foreign to the Bible, but the word trinity, with three gods in one is, on the contrary, completely foreign!
