  • Both are kingdoms (beasts)
      • Daniel 3:1 “the king
      • Revelation 13:11, Daniel 7:17, “four kings”, 7:23, “forth kingdom” )
  • Both are lamb like (both are wolves in sheep’s clothing)
      • Daniel 3:2 “come to the dedication
      • Revelation 13:11 “he had two horns like a lamb
  • Deception (coming together for the ‘dedication’ of the image – the Israelites should have known what this meant… as this Syriac word is used four times, twice in Ezra 6:16-17, referring to worship. The other two times in Daniel 3:2-3. The Babylonian leaders may not have known or cared, as there were many gods already.)
      • Daniel 3:2 “come to the dedication
      • Revelation 13:11-12 “he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship
  • Speaking as a dragon
      • Daniel 3:6 “whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace
      • Revelation 13:11 “he spake as a dragon”, 13:15, “he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed
          • “What is it that gives its kingdom to this power? Protestantism, a power which while professing to have the temper and spirit of a lamb, and to be allied to heaven, speaks with the voice of a dragon. It is moved by a power from beneath.” Lt232-1899.22
  • Both exercising all power
      • Daniel 3:4 “Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages
      • Revelation 13:12 “he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast”
  • An Image in both chapters
      • Daniel 3:5 “fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up”
      • Revelation 13:15 “he had power to give life unto the image of the beast”
  • Fire in both chapters
      • Daniel 3:11 “whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.” 3:19 “he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated”
      • Revelation 13:13 “he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men”
  • Miracles done in the sight of those that dwell on the earth in both chapters
      • Daniel 3:25 “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt
      • Revelation 13:14 “deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do
  • Causing all to worship in both chapters

  • The ‘deadly wound was healed’ (Hebrews thrown into the fire yet coming out alive and the call to worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed)

          • The width could easily have been six cubits… 60, 6 and 6.
